JAPAN BEAT TAPES 01 - OTARU

Starting a new series with some raw beats based on the locations I travel to throughout Japan. Sampling the atmosphere and working it in to capture the vibe of the place.

Got to stay in this little cottage by the ocean in Otaru, Hokkaido. Waves crashed while heavy snow belted the mainland. Two epic forces colliding with each other yet was strangely peaceful and soothing.

Was feeling this little hip hop breakbeat snowy soul beat I cooked up on the Ableton push standalone. So good being able to jump straight into an idea without a laptop!
